Soul Senses
Everyday Expressions of the Soul
Recently, in class, Spirit gave the following homework:
Soul Senses: Everyday Expressions of the Soul—what does this mean? Use your experiences of spirit intervention or guidance.
This is what Spirit guided me to write:
I have had many experiences of being guided—physically assisted, quietly directed, and at times unmistakably warned by Spirit. Yet in this instance, Spirit prompted me toward a deeper understanding, a more refined response. I offer this in the hope that it resonates with you.
An example of soul senses is that moment when, after a long separation, your soul recognizes another from its soul family. It arrives as a sudden awareness—a jolt of recognition, an unmistakable pull drawing you closer. You feel compelled to move beyond a passing acknowledgment, to connect more deeply.
It is the soul’s way of alerting you: this person matters.
Whether their significance lies in your past or your present, they are part of your development, your growth. The pull is immediate and undeniable.
I have experienced this kind of recognition with certain individuals in my life.
It is like being lost in the desert and suddenly catching the scent of water. Everything within you turns toward it. The need to reach the source becomes your singular focus.
And when you do, none of the external differences—age, education, experience, background—carry weight. Your soul has already recognized theirs. It senses another soul on its own journey, yet somehow bound to yours in a way that transcends circumstance.
This is the recognition of your true family—the soul family that has been with you since your soul’s inception, since its very coming into being.
It is a gift from the Divine.
And you will know it again when you return.
